Tracing a pattern with a White Pencil
This technique 'Tracing with a 'White Pencil' is one way of transferring a design onto parchment craft paper. It as the advantage of being able to erase any mistakes, so ideal for beginners.
This tracing technique is also used by advanced parchers, once the image as been embossed the white pencil lines can be erased just leaving an embossed image with no traced lines visible.
TIP: Your pencil must be very sharp and you must be working on a flat even surface.
TIP: The one thing I didn't mention and would suggest is to put something under your hand that is resting on the parchment whilst tracing either a piece of paper or kitchen roll, this will stop any moisture from your hands marking your parchment.
