Trace the outline border lightly using a graphite pencil & ruler.
NOTE: Trace lightly as you will need to erase this line later.
Emboss all traced lines with a PCA Micro Ball Tool
Emboss around the outer edge of the 3D wings using a PCA Micro Sun Tool.
Secure your parchment onto the grid right side facing up
Perforate the grid the ‘Malteze’ grid pattern with the hearts and around the greeting.
Attach your design onto a Pergamano Grid 28 right side facing down carefully aligning your border pencil line.
Emboss along the 4 straight borders
Attach your design back on the grid right side facing up carefully aligning your embossed border dots.
Perforate around the outside edge of the embossed dots and use the ‘Inline Technique’ for the curved corners.
Add colour on the back inside the butterfly wings, filling in completely.
To make the spots use the bullet tip of the blender pen and draw a tiny spot, this will take out some of the colour, wipe the pen onto a piece of kitchen paper to clean and then re draw over the same spot this action will take out more colour
Add colour to the hearts
Apply a line of colour inside the top of the heart only using the bullet tip of the pen; blend the colour downwards into the rest of the space using an alcohol blender pen.
If you want a more delicate effect clean the nib of the pen and re blend from the bottom of the heart
The other perforated shape at the bottom is a PCA Fine Semi Circle if you dont have the Siesta Tool.
Add colour on the front to the 3D bodies, I applied 2 layers of colour
Let your first layer completely dry before applying a 2nd layer.
Add tiny dots of colour inside the embossed sun shapes
Emboss these sections from the back when dry using a PCA Medium Ball Tool.
Emboss a tiny dot inside each 4- hole perforations with the perforated lace work
Re-perforate these holes as embossing will have squashed them.
